About Sand o'Gill - Self Catering Lodge Holidays


A warm welcome awaits you at Sand o’Gill which overlooks Pierowall Bay and the harbour at Gill Pier where the ferry "The Golden Mariana" comes in from Papa Westray. The village of Pierowall with its shops are just a five minute stroll away.

Just as you enter the village from south you will see a timber chalet. The chalet offers superb views or the sea and Papa Westray and you can enjoy these whilst sitting at the dining table. The accommodation consists of a lounge/diner, kitchen area, one twin bedroom and one bedroom with two bunk beds, bathroom, colour television, pay telephone, washing machine and tumble dryer.

There is also a two-bed flat with a double and small twin as well as two caravans and bed and breakfast accommodation in the main house.

Sand o’ Gill is a good starting point for walking round the island – or for the more active cycles are available to hire.

Sand o’Gill is close to the Airport (2 miles), Ferry (0.25 miles).
